SPORTS SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL

Sports Systems International (SSI) is a nonprofit organization fully recognized by the Federal Government and IRS. All programs and activities for this organization are funded through grants and tax deductible donations. All workshops for coaches, officials, and school administrators are intended to explain our programs and goals—they are not a source of hidden income for our organization.

Our goal is to reach every child, starting with the third grade, and motivate them to enroll in a sports program. We intend to identify the children that come from homes where the parents have never been involved in sports and therefore do not guide their children toward sports. Once these types of children are identified, we will contact groups or organizations involved in junior sports and athletic programs and follow through with the enrollment of the children into a program. We will also meet with the parents and explain our programs and code of conduct.

SSI provides programs to educational institutions, school systems, and any organization involved in the education of youth. SSI will reach all states, and through grants from each state and private donations, we will provide programs for all grade levels through high school.

SSI programs are administered by licensed and certified sports counselors and psychologists who will be selected from our National Register. We require everyone involved with our organization to sign an agreement to abide by our principles and code of conduct and to always place the athlete first above winning. For students with disciplinary or character problems, we will provide psychologists that are licensed and certified and selected from our National Register to counsel them utilizing a sports venue.

Our Principles and Code of Conduct

Everyone involved with Sports Systems International must agree to live by these principles:

    1. In all athletic competition or games, the health, character, and mental well-being of the athlete comes first.
    2. Win with integrity.
    3. Be a positive role model for the youth of the world and demonstrate the value of sports in building character.
    4. Try to align yourself with schools, organizations, teams, coaches, or groups that have the same principles and code of conduct.

The workshops associated with the Sports Systems International (SSI) programs are intended to help each group with understanding the process we use to achieve verifiable results, and to train the groups to be a positive part of that process. All workshops administered by SSI will be done by the Certified Sports Counselor or Sports Psychologist listed in the National Register.

The individual cost will be negligible, and everyone attending the workshop will be sent a certificate with the SSI logo and our stated Principles and Code of Conduct suitable for framing. The workshops will be for four different groups: Athletes, Parents, Officials, and Coaches, including school administration. There is no charge for athletes to enter our workshops.

The purpose of the programs administered to assemblies and large groups of students is to:

    1. Motivate the student to join a sport.
    2. Identify the students that have non-sport-minded parents and to attempt to engage the parents in our program.
    3. Explain our Principles and Code of Conduct to the student so they understand how much character and integrity means in all our sports programs.
    4. With the use of our forms, get a short history of the disciplinary problems or conduct of the student, on a year-to-year basis, to use in future evaluations of our programs.
